| hello to anyone who reads this. We are hopefully half way done with this deployment. I should be back for leave in august still. I miss Ashlie more than ever which is alot if you were wondering. Cant wait to see my family again and play with my niece and nephew. Other than that just taking butt and kicking names. brock | | |
| Well hello again. Another mission down and between 1 and 79429345 to go. I have no idea on the actual amount we are not very well informed. No biggy though, im just working on getting my ACTs done because I blew it off in highschool. Im going to try to get accepted to Grandvalley University which really should'nt be that hard. So pretty much just trying to get my civilian life set up for when I get out of this beast. Well hope you all are doing well, I have college research to be done. brock | | |
| Hello all! I got back from our 48 day mission on the morning of the 22nd. It went alright, pretty long boring most the time and pretty sporty other times. A good friend of mine died on the 20th when he steped on a landmine. His name was Alex VannAlten, so keep his wife and parents in your prayers. Other than that we are refitting for a few days and heading outside the wire for another long one it looks like. Well, thats all for me. brock | | |
| Well, its been just over a month since I left the states. So far this deployment is completley different from Iraq. I just moved into hard building today to live in, and purchased internet for my room. I feel like a straight POG. The cool thing is when we leave on a mission I can just grab my things and lock my door, instead of locking it all up in our containers. Im not complaining though, I just feel a little spoiled. Ill be home in August for R and R leave, and I can not wait to visit my lady Ashlie and kiss her and hug her and squeeze her. So yeah, in conclusion I have internet in my room, and I have a bedroom I share with 3 other people. | | |
| Deployment got pushed back 24 hours, so now I am leaving on Wed. Just hanging out until then im all packed up and waiting to go. The computers on the FOB im going to are pretty crappy so I probably wont be on them much, and if your name isnt Ashlie, Mom, Dad, Levi, Harmony, or Patrick you probably wont get to many phone calls because there is only two phones and they are pretty bad as well. Anywho ill see most of you when I come back on R and R leave sometime this summer or fall. | | |
